We Don't Just Build Homes – We Build Relationships
The Thomsen team, from our craftsmen to our designers, are dedicated to offering our clients exceptional service. We don’t just build houses, we build relationships. It might sound corny in today’s business world, but many of our clients become our friends.
Over the years we have built strong connections with our tradespeople and suppliers to make sure we offer our clients the best possible value.
We genuinely believe a successful business is built on strong relationships, and with a focus on trust and integrity, it’s a win-win situation for everyone.
We have a long history of making people happy
1999
Building homes is in our blood. Owner and operator Eric Thomsen, was born into the business. His father was in construction and passed on the tools of the trade. Eric evolved the family business into custom home building with Heartland Custom Homes Inc in March, 1999, and built his first custom home on an acreage near Devon.
2000 - 2002
A new millennium rolls in with much celebration - woohoo! And we completed a full renovation and addition of our first home. It felt so good to see a young family move into a home that we built - so we decided to build some more!
2002 - 2003
Moving onwards and upwards! We built custom homes on acreages near Devon and signed our first 5 lot contract with Alldritt Developments to build single family homes.
2003 - 2004
Quality sells itself. As more happy homeowners moved into our homes, we signed a second 10 lot contract with Alldritt Developments and continued building affordable, above standard, single family homes in Devon.
2004 - 2006
The Olympics were taking place in Athens and Corner Gas hit the television screens. But we were too busy to play, we just signed a 36 lot contract with the Austech Group to build single family homes and later that year we signed another 20 lot contract with the Austech Group.
2006 - 2007
Six years later, business was booming and so was our reputation. We signed a 50 lot contract with Deer Valley Developments to build single family homes in Leduc.
2008 - 2009
The Olympics rolled around again, in Bejing this time, and Obama moved into the Whitehouse, but our focus was in Edmonton where we continued to build in the Deer Valley Subdivision and we developed a 21 unit town house project in Devon.
2009 - 2011
Brrr... remember Edmonton's coldest December on record? We do! That was the year we signed a 32 lot contract with Sherrick Management in the exclusive subdivision of Ambleside in Edmonton.
2010 - 2012
It's the year of the Vancouver Winter Olympics, did you catch the torch as it passed through your town? Do you remember Crosby's awesome winning goal?
We can't believe ten years passed so quickly. Our family has grown and our business is strong. We signed a 70 lot contract with MLC Land Company in the subdivision of Windermere South in Edmonton. We are proud to be building homes in our city.
2015
Fifteen years later and we're a little older, but still kicking and currently building in the subdivision of Creekwood Chappelle in Edmonton and in the subdivision of South Fort in Fort Saskatchewan.
Thomsen Built now builds 50 – 60 homes per year, that's a lot of quality homes for families. We feel pretty good about that.
