For sure there are a lot more than 5 ways to add some personality to the walls of your child’s bedroom but we thought that we’d start here.

Let us know what other ways you’ve found to jazz up a kids room.

1. Hang Your Head(s) High

Faux animal heads made out of cardboard or wood are an inexpensive way to create some interest and fun in a child’s room.

Not only are they interesting to look at they are also light weight and a breeze to put up.

For the smaller heads you can put 3 of them in an interesting configuration like we did in our Creekwood Chappelle show home.

If you prefer the larger heads, one on a given wall may be all your need.

2. Free Style Hang’in

If trying to figure out how to hang art makes you crazy, why not suspend your wall art from a cord.

Hanging your child’s art this way is quick and will save you some money by not having to buy a frame.

The great thing about suspended art is that you’re not limited to the size of the image or to how many you can hang together.

Stand back and eyeball your work, you’ll know when you get it just right!

3. Fabulously Hung

This may be the most expensive option out of our list, but the end result can be truly fun and exciting.

There’s nothing like a well chosen wall paper to take any room from drab to fab.

If you are going to hang your own wall paper make sure you read the instructions carefully and be prepared with all your supplies when starting.

It can be a big job and we like to leave it to the professionals.

4. How Much Did You Grow?

Really, they do grow up so fast so why not keep track of it? Besides, kids love to see how big they’re getting even if you don’t.

Not all growth charts are for babies. Google height charts and you’ll find a lot to chose from.

5. Be Magnetic

A nice way to take up some wall space visually and still add some function is with a bulletin or a magnetic board.

They come in various sizes, shapes and colours and are a great way to display photos, souvenirs and items that your child loves.
